Pastor Bob Schnecker is a native of Cincinnati Ohio.  He was called to ministry at the age of seventeen and rather than accepting God's call upon his life he chose to run from it. Over the next  nineteen years he received both a bachelor's

At the age of thirty-six he finally gave in to God and entered a career in full-time ministry. While Pastoring the Ross Community United Methodist Church he graduated from United Theological School in 1990 with a Masters of Divinity Degree.

While serving local churches he continued studying the complex subject of church growth.   Traveling across the united States he attended seminars at Saddleback Church in  California, Willowcreek outside of Chicago, New Hope   Church in Michigan, and a number of seminars at Ginghamsburg  Church outside of Dayton, Ohio.  He also subscribed to the Church Communications Satellite TV Network and received monthly training from some of the most successful pastors in the United States.

All of this education showed him the importance of having members of congregations identify their spiritual gifts and then begin to use them in the service to the Body of Christ , his church, and to the world the church is called to serve..  While serving at his last church, by helping the members identify and use their Spiritual gifts he helped the congregation start over thirty new ministries.

Two ministries that he himself started were Love In the Name of Christ ( Love INC.) of Harrison, Ohio. Beginning with seven churches in that community, this not for profit corporation,  now  involves nearly twenty churches cooperating together in the name of Christ to reach out and help the less fortunate of Harrison, Ohio and  Dearborn County Indiana.                                                                          The other Ministry he and his wife Patty started was Safe Harbor Ministries, which began as a ministry to the youth of Harrison who spent most of their time in the evenings wandering the streets of Harrison.  The Mission of Safe Harbor was to provide the youth of Harrison a place where they could experience the Unconditional (Agape) love of Christ.  Opening the Harrison United Methodist Church on Thursday evenings he and Patty along with a number of very dedicated members of the church provided opportunities for recreational sports, crafts, food, fellowship, and Bible Study.   Reaching out to younger children of the community some of the Thursday Night Youth started a puppet ministry that would take Safe Harbor stage ( a twenty-six-feet long replica of a 19th century Battleship named His Majesty's Ship Freedom) into the neighborhoods and perform two shows each Saturday while the weather was warm enough to do outdoor performances. During the Christmas season they performed as Christmas show at K-Mart and Kroger's using an indoor version of the ship. All of the puppet shows, written by Pastor Bob,  teach  lessons about responsibility, taking care of one another, following parents advise and wisdom,  along with the idea of developing a personal relationship with the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Pastor Bob's number one Spiritual Gift is the gift of evangelism.  God has given him a passion for reaching out to the lost and offering Christ's love and forgiveness in some very creative ways. His second Spiritual gift is the gift of preaching.  Young adults particularly like his  practical applications of Biblical teaching.

Feeling God's call to leave the pastoral ministry he has taken Safe Harbor Ministries on the road.  Offering his experience and his gifts, he shares Christ while helping other churches start similar programs as those he started at Harrison.
