Safe Harbor Ministries to youth helps any congregation start an outreach program to the young people who live in the community surrounding the church.  If your local church does not have a practical space we can show you how to set up using a school or other space that may be available at a reasonable cost.

 We show you how to identify the kind of people who would be good at leading such a ministry once it is established.  We can  explain from our own experience what works and what doesn't when working with the Street Wise young people in your community. 

We explain how to get free advertising, and corporate sponsorship of your program in addition to selling the idea to the leadership of your church.  We will help you establish a good working relationship with local law enforcement agencies.

For the program to remain a vital part of your ministry to the community we will help you in the process of bringing these young people to the Lord and active participation in the life of your church. You will also learn how to identify future leaders from among the young people themselves.  

In our sixth and seventh years it was not unusual for young adults  to occasionally drop in who had been with us while in High School, and had gotten jobs in the community and had been married.  It is a wonderful feeling to see these  young people becoming responsible citizens of the community instead of continuing down a road leading to pain and self-destruction.
